In the wee hours of July 17th, we departed with 126 students from all four of our schools and headed for Louisiana. To begin the fun in our journey, we visited Louisiana State University and got the full tour (tiger included)! From there, we checked into our hotel then headed to dinner at the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen dinner cruise! This dinner cruise truly was an amazing experience; the food, the music and the sights! We ended our first night with giving our students the option of a ghost tour, roller skating, or pool time. On the 18th some of the highlights included: touring the Mardi Gras World Museum, touring the French Market, enjoying beignets from Cafe Du Monde, and visiting the Audubon Aquarium! Our third day was filled with more fun, including a swamp tour, touring Loyola University, touring Studio Be- a renowned graffiti installment- and dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. On our final day in NOLA, we toured the WW2 museum then began our drive home. We made a few stops along the way, but made it safely on Friday evening. All of our students and staff had a blast on this trip, and it was an amazing way to end the summer!
