CHRIS KLAVINSKI – Communications Coordinator
Chris Klavinski is the Communications Coordinator for Opportunity Resource Services and is responsible for managing our web presence, social media, and parent/student communication. Originally from Geneva, Illinois, Chris attended Aurora University and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Communications.
As a first-generation student, Chris has seen the effects that education has played in transforming his life and presenting him with different career opportunities as he completed college. Chris attended Northern Illinois University for professional development in the Graduate Programs of Media Studies and Educational Technology, Research, & Assessment. Chris focused on his media career for twenty years, producing, instructing, and directing live televised events. During this time, Chris received many accolades including the top award for Overall Excellence in Educational Television from the Alliance of Community Media. After a long career in the digital media and production world, Chris joined ORS in 2019 to lend his skills and experience to the team.
When not in the office Chris enjoys cooking, learning new skills, creating media, and spending time with his wife and two daughters. Chris also enjoys taking road trips with his family, visiting animal conservation centers, exploring Texas, reading about history, studying media effects on society, and is a member of the National Academy of Television and Arts and Sciences
