ROBIN BROCKINTON – Upward Bound Classic Assistant Director

Robin Brockinton is the current Assistant Director of the Upward Bound Classic program that serves all four of our high schools. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robin earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Theology with minors in Biblical Languages, Philosophy, and Religion. Robin has five years of professional experience within Opportunity Resource Services and has held multiple positions throughout our organization.

Robin was a first generation and low-income Native American student who joined the ORS team 2014 as an Upward Bound tutor. Robin has grown in her personal and professional life and has held the subsequent titles of Student Development Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and Assistant Director. Robin is a shining example and role model for the students she serves across Johnson County because she shares her experiences and helps others avoid any mistakes she may have made along her educational path. Robin is knowledgeable about the legislation and regulations for ORS and helps identify and resolve possible grant compliance issues before they start.

When not helping our students, Robin enjoys cross stitching, hiking and spending time with her husband. Robin believes that everyone should have access to unlock new opportunities through education after seeing the impact that higher education has made on her life. Robin is continually learning, growing and sharing her experiences with students through the work she does for ORS.

“I believe that education is the key to new experiences and continual growth not just as an individual but as a society as well.”
