ROBIN MAYHEW – College Access Advisor, Educational Opportunity Center
Robin Mayhew is a College Access Advisor for the Educational Opportunity Center in Cleburne. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Robin attended the University of Texas Arlington and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science before starting her teaching career.
After 23 years of service to Burleson ISD as a Dyslexia Interventionist, Robin transitioned into an academic tutoring role for the Upward Bound program in 2018 continuing to help students achieve their goals through education. Robin believes that education is the difference between living successfully and living in poverty. Robin has impeccable attention to detail and her life-long experience as an educator makes her perfect in her role as College Access Advisor. Robin helps our students find their preferred college and complete all the required paperwork to get them enrolled. Robin hopes to make connections with her students and be as knowledgeable as possible about each person’s circumstances and life goals.
Outside of the office Robin enjoys reading novels, sewing, and spending time playing with her young grandchildren
