Opportunity Resource Services is proud to announce that we have been selected as a grant recipient for the Texas Parks and Wildlife CO-OP Program. This is the second time our organization has received this grant. We are so excited to incorporate more environmental science and outdoor recreation for our Upward Bound students. This will enable us to provide hands-on STEM education for our students across the great state of Texas. We have several planned activities and service-learning projects with Cleburne State Park, as well as other partners across the state.

Restoring Native Texas, Building Leaders supports their Upward Bound program with environmental service trips for 150 underserved youth. After preparatory workshops, students provide several parks with customized service projects such as building bat habitats, installing pollinator gardens and assisting with oyster restoration at Galveston Island, with opportunities for outdoor recreation at the sites.
