Piper is a first- generation low-income individual who earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas Arlington in 2004 and went on to complete a Master of Arts in English in 2008.
Piper has over 25 years of experience in the classroom. Over the course of her career, she has taught at four colleges and universities and is driven based on these experiences to better prepare students for the various challenges they will face in their own educational journeys. Since moving to Cleburne in 2013, Piper has worked for both Cleburne ISD and Hill College, focusing on student success in the classroom by supporting early access and college readiness by teaching dual credit courses in English Literature and Composition.
