Our Mission
To connect Texans to higher education and build educated communities.
We believe education is the surest path out of poverty.
65% of all newly created jobs require some form of education or training after high school. The unemployment rate for high school graduates is nearly four times higher than for college graduates with a bachelor’s degree.
our approach
Increased Access
Our programs strive to expose participants to the wealth of options that are available within postsecondary education, whether it be trade or industry certification, or a four-year degree.
Individualized Mentoring
The one-on-one mentoring that our participants receive makes ORS unique. We walk our students through the process for postsecondary enrollment step by step.
Application Assistance
At ORS, we strive to eliminate barriers to higher education. Participants in our programs receive guided and skilled assistance with completing complex forms, such as college applications and the FAFSA.
Expert Knowledge
ORS team members endeavor to maintain the level of expertise needed to make the transition to postsecondary education seamless for our students.
Financial Resources
A lack of financial literacy is a significant barrier to higher education. We ensure our participants understand the types of financial aid available and provide additional resources.
Community Based
Because we are rooted in the DFW metroplex, our services and expertise are tailored to the needs of North Texas.
